Adult Faith Formation and RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults 18+)

FIRST COMMUNION AND CONFIRMATION FOR ADULTS
-They were baptized in the Catholic faith in their infancy but did not receive the sacraments of Confirmation and the Eucharist.

NON BAPTIZED
The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) is a process designed for adults who, responding to God's grace, desire to become full members of the Catholic Church. The RCIA process is determined for those adults who:
 
1.-They have not been baptized and wish to become part of the Catholic Church through the sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation and the Eucharist. 
2.-They have been baptized in another Christian community and seek full communion with the Catholic Church.

Formación de Fe para Adultos y RICA (Rito de Iniciación Cristiana para Adultos Mayores de 18 años)
 
PRIMERA COMUNIÓN Y CONFIRMACIÓN PARA ADULTOS
-Fueron bautizados en la fe católica en su infancia pero no recibieron los sacramentos de la Confirmación y la Eucaristía.

NO BAUTIZADOS
El Rito de Iniciación Cristiana de Adultos (RICA) es un proceso designado para adultos que, respondiendo a la gracia de Dios, desean convertirse en miembros plenos de la Iglesia Católica. El proceso de RICA está determinado para aquellos adultos que:

1.-No han sido bautizados y desean formar parte de la Iglesia Católica a través del sacramento del Bautismo, la Confirmación y la Eucaristía.
2.-Han sido bautizados en otra comunidad cristiana y buscan la comunión plena con la Iglesia Católica.







Sessions for Adults Baptized or not Baptized

Weekly
: Tuesdays
Time: 7:30PM-9:00PM
Where: Ministry Center
Duration: September to May
Fees/Costo: $100 per person

Necessary documents
Birth certificate for those not Baptized
For those who apply, proof of all sacraments they had received

​Sponsor
The candidate must choose a Sponsor (godfather / godmother) the day he/she decide to join the program. The sponsor will accompany the candidate on the journey of faith. As soon as he has chosen the sponsor, he/she begins to talk about the preparations for the celebration in the Church
​

Requirements for the sponsor
Must have received the sacraments of Baptism, First Communion and Confirmation, if married, be married in the Catholic Church. He/she must provide all certificates of her/his sacraments.
The sponsor should be a good Catholic model, following the commandments of the church. They do not need to be of the same sex as the candidate. A father/mother/guardian cannot be godparents

Attendance
If you have three or more unexcused absences, you will be removed from the class this will result in postponing the Sacraments
 
Mass Attendance:
You should attend Mass weekly here at St Patrick.

Hora: 7:30PM-9:00PM
Dónde: Centro de Ministerio
Duración: Septiembre-Mayo
Costo: $100 por persona
 
Documentos Necesarios
Certificado de nacimiento para aquellos no Bautizados
Para aquellos bautizados, Prueba de todos los sacramentos que el candidato ha recibido

Padrino/Madrina
El candidato debera elegir un padrino/madrina tan pronto como se register en el programa. El padrino/madrina le acompañara en su camino de fe. Tan pronto como haya elegido al padrino/madrina, comience a hablar sobre los preparativos para la celebracion en la Iglesia.
Requisitos para el padrino/madrina
Deben haber recibido los sacramentos del Bautismo, la Primera Comunión y la Confirmación, si están casados, estar casados en la Iglesia Católica. El/ella deberan  proporcionar todos los certificados de sus sacramentos.
Debera ser un buen modelo católico, siguiendo los mandamientos de la iglesia. No es necesario que sean del mismo sexo que el  candidato. Un padre/madre/tutor no puede ser padrinos
 ​
Asistencia
Si tiene tres o más ausencias injustificadas, será eliminado de la clase, lo que resultará en la postergación de los Sacramentos.
Asistencia a misa:
debe asistir a misa semanalmente aquí en St Patrick.
